In-situ Turbine Journal Repair
When a turbine journal has been scored by a bearing wiped through loss of lube oil, or worn after years of service, we machine and lap it in place – the rotor stays where it is and does not need to be turned.

A loss of lube oil that wipes a bearing, or simply long service, can leave a turbine journal badly scored and worn. In-situ journal machining combines turning and lapping in a single setup to restore the damaged journal where it is. The rotor does not have to be pulled or turned, so there is no need to ship it to a workshop.
