# Nuclear & Thermal Power

Tube installation, expansion, trimming and welding on stainless steel and titanium condensers of 300 MW, 600 MW and 1,000 MW units for dozens of power construction companies. Nuclear references include Tianwan, Changjiang, Qinshan and Fangchenggang.

### Why power plants call us in

- **Leaking condenser tubes.** Vibration, erosion or corrosion causes tube leaks that compromise condensate quality. Once too many tubes have been plugged, retubing is due.
- **Lost heat transfer.** Fouling and a rising plugging rate pull condenser vacuum down and hurt unit efficiency, so the tubes need cleaning or replacing.
- **Tube material upgrades.** Converting a copper alloy condenser to stainless steel or titanium means a complete retube.
- **New units.** Once the condenser shell is assembled, the tubes have to be installed, expanded, trimmed, welded and hydro tested.
- **Tight outage windows.** Major and forced outages run to fixed dates, and the retube has to finish inside the window. We plan the schedule from the tube count, material and site conditions before mobilizing.

According to company records, retubing tools developed by Lanbo have been used for equipment installation and maintenance at more than 1,000 thermal power plants across China and at the Daya Bay and Qinshan nuclear power stations, and more than 60 Chinese power construction companies have used them for many years.
